  • source 1 is from… which shows that it should be reliable/unreliable because these sources are…Because source 1 says… this shows…. However, it could be argued as reliable/unreliable because… This shows that source 1 is partly/mostly/marginally/majorly reliable/unreliable because ….
  • repeat for all sources and then provide an overall conclusion about which source is the most reliable with evidence about why it is the most reliable

conclusion

  • one conclusion i can draw regarding… and …. is that …. Evidence to support this conclusion can be seen in source …, which says …. This links to source … which says that ….. This suggests that … which shows us ….. Moreover, source .. says, which shows …… Therefore….
  • repeat for each conclusion - this should give 3 marks for each one.
  • at the end you must give a final overall conclusion regarding what the question asks you at the bottom. dont simply restate what has already been said as the answer, because the final para is whole separate conclusion. use evidence and the same structure as the earlier conclusions

  • use subheadings
  • EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THE VIEW AND EVIDENCE TO OPPOSE THE VIEW
  • source .. says … this shows that… this is backed up by source … which says… this shows that …. source 2 says …. furthermore source … says…. together this shows the statement is partially/mostly correct because….
  • this structure gives three marks to aim to do it three or four times if possible. you may have 2 for the support and only 1 for the oppose or vice versa - it does not need to be equal
  • then use make an OVERALL JUDGEMENT
  • while there is evidence to suggest the statement is partially correct because…, we can see that the overwhelming/marginal amount of evidence oppose the statement because…
