painting i chose and what i wrote about
“The Swing” also known as ‘’The Happy Accidents of the Swing’’ is an oil painting by Jean-Honoré Fragonard in 1767.
This painting has many details, many different gradients, tints and warm colours.
Line/Gradient: We can see immediately when we look at the painting, some trees, people and statues are darker than others. When we examine it more closely, we see that the part of the girl on the swings dress is darker than other parts, the use of lighting by the painter I think is very impressive.
