What is a drug?
A substance that changes the way the body or mind works.
What is the difference between a legal and illegal drug?

What is a medicine?

What is the difference between painkillers and antibiotics?
Painkillers relieve symptoms; antibiotics kill bacteria causing infections.
What is meant by drug tolerance?
When a person needs more of a drug to get the same effect.
What is addiction?
A condition where a person cannot stop taking a drug and suffers withdrawal symptoms without it.
What are the dangers of drug abuse?
Health problems, addiction, social issues, damage to organs.
How do performance-enhancing drugs affect athletes?
They improve performance but are illegal and can have serious health risks.
What is nicotine, and why is it addictive?
Nicotine is a chemical in tobacco that stimulates the brain’s reward system, causing addiction.
What are withdrawal symptoms?
