A

A job must:

  1. Be reasonably demanding and have variety (variety)
  2. Allow for continuous learning (feedback)
  3. Give employee decision making room that they own (autonomy)
  4. Afford employee with social support and recognition (significance)
  5. Allow employee to relate what they do/produce to social life (identity)

What needs to happen for change to be more accepted?

A
  1. Determine the change (i.e what changed)
  2. Build executive support (start from top)
  3. Develop the plan
  4. Execute the plan
  5. Persist through challenges (act accordingly as stakeholders go through the acceptance process)
  6. Reinforce adoption (Highlight and reward steps towards adoption)
