2. Negotiated Piecemeal Initiatives - management & workers agree on various changes as they occur
3. Imposed Piecemeal Initiatives - managers plan and impose changes to solve certain problems (e.g develop quality circles)
4. Imposed Total Package - senior management introduces a major change with no worker consultation (e,g when negotiations fail)
