A
ITCZ is caused by an area of low pressure between the two Tropics (Cancer and Capricorn) where the Trade Winds meet near the Earths Equator. As these winds converge, warm, moist air is forced upwards. As it races, the air cools, resulting in a band of heavy rain around the globe.
