What happens in the cell division- mitosis?
A
1) body cells normally have 2 copies of each chromosomes 1 from father and 1 from mother
2) when a body cell divides it needs to make new cells identical to the original cell with the same number of chromosomes
3) (this type of cell division is called mitosis) it’s used when plants and animals want to grow or replace cells that have been damaged
