What are the Systems of Knowledge?
Knowledge and skills that are based on interconnected social, physical and spiritual understandings.
In turn, they inform survival and contribute to a strong sense of identity.
What is Country?
Country has a capital letter because it also represents emotive, physical, intellectual and metaphorical connections.
Traditional lands of a particular language or cultural group.
Includes both geographical boundaries and the spriitual, emotiona, and intellectual connects to and within it.
In what ways is learning embedded in relationships?
- Relationships between concepts.
- Relationships between learner and teacher.
- Relationships between individuals, families and communities.
- Relationships between all of the above and Country.
There is an understanding that humans are interconnected with each other, the past, their ancestors and the natural world all at once.
The purpose of learning is to remember and share cultural and survival knowledge, to maintain cultural continuity and to protect complex ecosystems and biodiversity.

What is Story Sharing Approach to Learning?
Learning that takes place through narrative and story-sharing.
e.g: Sharing Dreaming stories to communicate complex knowledge relating to the natural world and survival
What is a Learning Map Approach to Learning?
Planning and visualising processes and knowledge.
e.g: Creating a mind map of key terms in a Psychology Area of Study
What is the Non-Linear Apprach to Learning
Thinking outside the box and taking knowledge from different viewpoints in order to build new understandings.
e.g: comparing Ancient Rome and Ancient China
Deconstruct/Reconstruct approach to learning.
Breakign down a concept into parts then applying it as a whole.
(Often involves a guided demonstration.)
eg: reading a passage in a foreign language and then analysing individual sentences and words.
Symbols and Images as an approach to learning
Learning through symbols, images and metaphors.
e.g: Creating artwork.
