Structure:

A

Common motif of the moon is a constant thing in her life, always guiding her “the light of the unclouded summer moon” benevolent meaning good force, forceful good.
The whole way through the tension building at the end it was anti climatic “Helen was - dead”.
Resurgam - shall rise again.
Religion - ‘I believe god is good’ christianity being benevolent force, people need not fear death if it is going ‘home’.

Context:

A

Helen burns is inspired by Brontës sister, Emily, who died of tuberculosis at a boarding school, Cowan Bridge.
Charlotte Brontë is shaming these institutions.
Class grave - because girls were powerless they wouldn’t have gravestones.
Religion - god being mindmaker and yours, christianity being benevolent force, people don’t fear death.
