Corticosteroids (prednisone or methylprednisolone) or IV Hydrocortisone
Right sided chrons - budenoside (less effective but may cause fewer SE too)
Aminoglycosides
Is relapse better than active treatment

When is add on treatment usednin chrons
If there have been 2 or more inflammatory exacerbation in a 12 month period
What add on treatment is used in chrons
Azathioprine or mercaptopurine
Alt = methotrexate
Once the patient is in remission, what should we do with azathioprine and mercaptopurine
Can be used as monotherapy
Methotrexate can be used as monotherapy only if it was used to induce remission in the first place
