A

Partial or subtotal villous atrophy

Increase in intraepithelial lymphocytes

A
Weight loss
Diarrhoea and/or constipation
Abdo pain

What is dermatitis herpetiformis?

A

Intensely itchy skin condition, usually symmetrical on extensor surfaces

How is coeliac diagnosed?

A

Coeliac serology- anti tissue transglutaminase, IgA
HLA status- + in 97% coeliacs
Distal duodenal biopsy for villous atrophy

How is coeliac managed?

A

Withdraw gluten and refer to state registered dietician
