Flashcards in Command Interview Tech. Deck (19)
When does the NGS unit automatically shutdown?
- either engine not running in flight
- aircraft on ground and not in test mode
- Fire or smoke detection in cargo or main deck areas
- left pack o/h
- centre tanks refuelling valve is open.
How does the landing gear transfer unit work?
Hyd system B pump supplies volume of fluid need to operate the landing gear transfer unit when all of the following conditions are met:
- No1 engine rpm drops below a limit value
- landing gear lever is positioned up
- either main gear is not up and locked.
RNP values oceanic, star and app?
0.3 or less.
How long does the isfd last for?
Can you do an app at the end?
Isfd itself lasts for 150mins but plus 30mins on battery =180mins
No app as there Is no ILS.
If rated thrust is required for t/o when are you required to recalculate performance?
Any Change in environmental conditions
X/wind wet rwy?
What about when using asymmetrical reverse thrust?
When does the standby yaw damper work?
Manual reversion, both flt control switches must be in standby rudder and YD switch on.
The RF formthe hydraulic quantity comes on when?
What reqmnts must be met for it to come on?
Valid only when a/c is on ground with both engines shutdown or after landing with flaps up during taxi in?
What a re the start limits for starting 1 engine inflight?
What time frame do you abort the start?
No increase in eft by 30secs or another abort start scenario.
Is "windshear ahead wx radar or gpws generated?
Reqmnts to de-ice for csff?
No requirement to de-ice if
- temp 4'c or greater,
- no precipitation or fog with vis below 1600m
- no ice on leading edge or control surfaces
- fuel temp not below -16'c.
If any of the above criteria are not met then allowed up to 3mm on lower surface.
When can you have csff on top of wing?
Only within lines on top of wing,
OAT 4'c or above
Fuel temp is at or above -16'c
If all of the above are not met de-ice.
Speed control on final until what on visual app and instrument app?
Separation in class c airspace?
Ifr from ifr and vfr and svfr
Separation class d airspace?
Ifr from ifr and svfr.
Only traffic info on vfr.
Stall management computer
FMC, IRS, ILS, radio altimeter,
Efis control panel
RVSM reqd equipment?
Two independent altimeters,
Mode C transponder
What/when happens with on app logic?
Either within 2nm of 1st app waypoint or 2000ft of airport elevation whichever occurs first.
Unable RNP levels are higher
As long as alt alerter is at least 300ft above a/c will keep descending.
If a/c is more than 200ft below path will command level fight to regain path.
If mcp alt is more than 250ft above current alt vnav remains in vnav path.
