Function: sensory from dura, nasal, lower eyelid, upper cheek, lip, teeth

Sensory & motor
Enter: foramen ovale
Function: motor to muscles of mastication. Sensory from lower face, cheek, lip, teeth, ear

Motor
Exit: superior orbital fissure
Innervates lateral rectus muscle
What is the entry/exit & function for cranial nerve VII?
Motor - muscles of facial expression
Exits: internal acoustic meatus & stylomastoid foramen
Function: muscles of facial expression. Special efferent - taste, anterior 2/3 of tongue. Visceral efferent - submandibular/sublingual glands
What are the divisions of the facial nerve?
Temporal Zygomatic Buccal Mandibular Cerbical Nerve to posterior belly of digastric & stylomyoid Chorda tympani
