what is Productivity
Transforming inputs to outputs at lowest cost. Includes the concepts of effectiveness (achievement of goals) and efficiency (meeting goals at a low cost).
efficiency = doing things right
effectiveness = doing the right things

what is Absenteeism
Failure to report to work – a huge cost to employers.
can be planned (approved leave) or unplanned, high unplanned is problem
what is Presenteeism
You are there physically but your mind is not on your work
what is Turnover
Voluntary and involuntary permanent withdrawal from an organization
what is Job Satisfaction
A general attitude (not a behaviour) toward one’s job; a positive feeling of one’s job resulting from an evaluation of its characteristics
what is Work Engagement
refers to the extent to which employees are engaged with their jobs. Engaged employees tend to be more satisfied, more productive, less absent, engage in less presenteeism and are less likely to leave the organisation
