Physical geography-located on Detroit river that connects lakes Erie/sinclair.
Topography-flat with areas of declines found near Detroit river.
Land use- urban landscape currently being regenerated.split into multiple wards(most abandoned).regeneration projects and past problems had led to gentrification in older neighbourhoods
Demographics-population 639,111 in 2020,620,410 in 2022.pop slowly declining as regeneration takes place.most pop between 14-29yrs old.78% identify as black/african American,12% white.
Infrastructure-older neibourhoods/abandoned buildings left to decay.6 plus airports including Oakland and Coleman airport,

Money/infrastructure-history of high crime rates,violence n robberies 1967 due to lack of money.oil crisis in 1970 made ppl aware of high cost fuel efficient cars being made.
Resources-as motor industries chose to locate, resources became scarce.Detroit had history of being polluted by nearby industries
Ideas- many cultural altercations have been brought up due to movement of ppl from diff religions
