lack of roughage in the diet, lack of excersie or emotional problems

pain or defecation become difficult

if the movements of the LI are reduced and the contents remain there for a long time, as water is absorbed the faeces become harder and drier.

what is the cause of diarrhoea?
irritation of the small or large intestine, which increases peristalsis so that the contents of the intestine move through before there is adequate absorption of water.

-coeliac disease
- lactose intolerant
describe bowl cancer
is an uncontrolled growth of cells in the wall of the large intestine
causes of bowl cancer?
diet, high alcohol consumption and smoking, a diet high in red and processed meat and low in fibre may increase risk of cancer
describe coeliac disease
unable to tolerate gluten, found in wheat, rye and barley.
symptoms of coeliac disease?
muscle cramps
join pain or tingling in the legs may appear

treatment to coeliac disease?
none it is inherited
cause of coeliac disease?
damage villi, nutrients cannot be absorbed and they become malnourished.
