What does a negative skew look like
Long tail is on the left
Most of distribution is concentrated on the right
Mode is at the highest point then the median
Mean is on the left
What does a positive skew look like
Long tail is on the right
Most of distribution concentrated on the left
Mode is at the highest point
Then the median
Mean on the right
What does a normal distribution look like
Mean median and mode all in the middle
How do you know if your data will be a negative skew
mean is lower than mode and median
How do you know if the distribution will be a positive skew
mean is higher than mode and median
How will you know if you have a normal distribution
Mode median and mean will be the same
