How- complete list of members from target pop- assign them numbers- random number generator
+ avoids researched bias
- unrepresentative/ selected may refuse

A

Every nth member is selected
How- sample frame (list of ppl)- chose nth people- interval random to reduce bias
+ avoids researched bias
- if every 4th is male, you have an all male sample
