- orientation of houses are north = more shade = less air conditioning
- UV reflective paint doesnt absorb hear = less air con / energy
- car parks under solar panel covers = 10mW everday = renerwable source [althpugh non generated at night
- grey water = treated rain, shower water etc to be re used
- one main public pool rahrer than lots on individual pools

explain the 4 negatives of Dubiai:
A
- eutophication occues = water stopped being recyled
- no source of fresh water = need to distillate to remove salt = lots of CO2 emmisions, energy intensive - powered by natural gas
- Dubai requires lots of resourced to be imported = lots of food miles & COs emmisions = not sustainalbe contriubted to climate change
- still doesnt produce enough energy to cover all energy requirements

- 9 recyling stations for every 90 villas
- construction waste is used as furniture [outside] and repurposed to minimise waste

explain how Dubai create green spaces:
A
- not just aesthetically pleasing : grow fig trees, grapes, avocados = amenable enviroment
- green spine of grass = encourages nature and biodiversity, more aesthetic

A
- living in a way which meets the needs now but w out reducing the abitly of future generations to meet their needs
= not damaging the enviroment
= not using up resources faster than they can be replaced
