Engagement Rate
A social media metric used to describe the amount of interaction - such as likes, shares, comments and clicks - a piece of content receives.
Applause Rate
Measures the number of approval actions (e.g., likes, favorites) a post receives relative to your total number of followers.
Amplification Rate
The ratio of shares per post to the number of overall followers.
Virality Rate
This measure is the number of people who shared your post relative to the number of unique views it had during a reporting period.
Engagement Rate by Reach (ERR)
Measures the percentage of people who chose to interact with your content after seeing it.
ERR calculation
(Total engagements per post / reach per post) * 100
Average ERR calculation
Total ERR / Total posts
Engagement rate by posts (ER post)
Measures engagements by followers on a specific post.
Similar to ERR, except instead of reach it tells you the rate at which followers engage with your content.
ER post calculation
(Total engagements on a post / Total followers) * 100
Engagement rate by impressions (ER impressions)
Impressions track how often that content appears on a screen.

Impressions
Number of times your ad or content is displayed to a user - regardless of if they interacted with it or not.

Total ER impressions / Total posts
Daily engagement rate (Daily ER)
Measures how often your followers are engaging with your account on a daily basis.
Daily ER calculation
(Total engagements in a day / total followers) * 100
Average Daily ER calculation
(Total engagements for X days / (X days * followers)) * 100
Engagement rate by views (ER views)
Measures how many people choose to engage with your videos after watching them.
ER View calculation
( Total engagements on video post / Total video views) * 100

Total ER view / Total posts
Factored Engagement Rate
Add more or less weight to certain factors in the equation. Rare cases.
Comment-weighted ER
( (Total comments * 2) + all other engagements / Reach per post) * 100
Cost per Engagement (CPE)
A measure of how effective an engagement strategy is in terms of cost implementation.

Total amount spent / Total engagements
