What is feedback?
The information that is available to the performer either during or after performance, purpose is to alter or correct future performances.
When is feedback most effective?
Accurate
Concise

What is intrinsic feedback?
Comes from inside the performer and is receives from the sense organ within the body - proprioceptors
What are the 3 types of intrinsic feedback?
Kinaesthetic
Touch
Equilibrium
What stage of learning is intrinsic feedback good for?
Experience - autonomous
What is extrinsic feedback?
Comes from an outside source
Enables the performer to gain a view of what they need to improve.
What does tangible feedback mean?
Facts and figures
What does intangible feedback mean?
Advice and motivation
What is knowledge on result?
Information about the end result of a response..
gives an indication of whether or not the skill was successful
TANGIBLE
What is knowledge of performance?
Detailed analysis of the action, how well the response is being performed and not the end result
NON-TANGIBLE
What is positive feedback?
Reinforces a skill learning and gives information about successful performance so it will be repeated
Offers motivation
What is negative feedback?
Information about an unsuccessful action which can be used to change an action to become successful.
Extrinsic
What is terminal feedback?
Feedback after the performance

What is concurrent feedback?
Feedback is given during the performance, either intrinsic or extrinsic
