Job analysis
Process of determining what a job entails, determines content of a job also identifies the tasks that makeup the job, together with the skills and responsibilities required of an individual to accomplish the job successfully
Job description
is a statement of the content of a job, it provides information about what the job entails
some of the particulars that should be included are:
Job title, working conditions, materials used, job summary(main purpose of job)
Limitations on authority
Job specification
is a statement about the personal characteristics needed to perform the job successfully and achieve the necessary output

Job profiling
A job is described in terms of the outputs required, together with the skills and knowledge required to deliver the outputs
