Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs?
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs (Triangle, first is top, last is bottom)
Self-Actualization
Being accepting for others, good sense of morality, being non-judgmental, imagination & creative, achieves full potential.
Esteem
Being an individual, confidence, respecting other people, respecting yourself.
Love & Belonging
Being intimate with others, having an identity, having friends, trusting other people.
Safety
Being healthy, having an income, living in a safe environment, having stability
Physiological
A good night’s sleep, have a place to live, having breakfast, having clean clothes.
The idea behind it is that your higher needs can’t be met if your lower needs haven’t been met.
What is Free Will?
Refers to the choices we make in life, the paths we go down and their consequences.
Self-Actualisation?
The human desire for self-fulfilment and developing ones potential.
Congruence?
When a persons ‘ideal self’ is consistent with their actual behaviour (self image).
