Aetiology?
A
- altered motility
- stress, anxiety, depression

Symtpoms?
A
- altered bowel habit
- abdo bloating
- abdo pain
- mucus in stool

Investigations?
A
- bloods –> general bloods + Coeliac serology
- stool –> culture + foecal calprotectin
- investigations –> rectal exam
*if findings nromal, can be diagnosed on symptoms alone*

Treatment?
A
- Constipation–> fybogel
- Diarrhoea –> loperamide
- pain –> anti spasmodics
