How do trade unions play an important role in the workplace?
they provide an employee ‘voice’ and supporting the development of effective workplace relationships between the employer and their workplace.

to negotiate the pay and working conditions. They also have the right to be informed and consulted on matters such as health and safety redundancies

Legal protection against being reduse employment, being offered unfavourable treatment, or being dismessed because they are or are not members of a trade union.
