1. find desirable plant that is going to be cloned
2. cut off a small part, ideally a growing shoot (meristem)
3. place the cutting in some soil, alongside nutrients and hormones
4. the cutting will grow into a clone of the og plant

1. take plant with desirable characteristics that we need to clone
2. using a scalpel, take tiny part of tips of stems, i.e meristem, called ex-plants
3. sterilise the ex-plants to remove any unwanted microorganisms
4. place the ex-plants into agar gel plate - sterile
5. the ex-plants will grow into small masses of cells known as calluses.
6. transfer the calluses into soil where they will grow into plantlets.
7. the plantlets can then be placed into their individual pots.
