Can look like renal cell carcinoma

Vasopressin antagonisnts
Amiloride
Drainage of large cysts

Tx complications

Transplant! ESRD

ANY RENAL PARENCHYMAL MASS IS LIKELY it

Tx RCC?

Don't biopsy, just take it out b/c don't want to seed peritoneum

Immunotherapy
Radiation
Chemo

Poor prognosis NEVER IGNORE SOLID MASS

Acute interstitial nephritis? Or allergic intersital, or drug induced

Caused by meds most often

Antibiotics and NSAIDs are biggies
But sulfa, allopurinol (that is a sulfa), PPIs, diuretics, cadmium

Rash
Fever
Creatinine
EOSINOPEHLIA

Urine eosinophils? BASICALLY DONE

Tx AIN?

STop offending agent
Supportive care
STEROIDS

Conplications for acute interstitial nephritis?

Failure
Acute tubular necrosis
Papillary necrosis
ESRD
