What is the purpose of the experiment?

Answer 1

1. Analysis of different bond types between Cu²⁺ and ligands from absorption spectrae in the visible region.
2. Ligands will be arranged in a spectrochemical series, from which the relative strength of field for each ligand will be determined.
3. The type of bonds formed between Cu(II) and EDTA ions will be studied.

These will be examined on three different complexes of Cu²⁺.
