Worldwide, since beginning of recorded history, ended mostly in 1800s, varied by area, thanks to Abolition movement.
Trans-Atlantic: 10-24 million slaves chipped to Americas for slave work 1500s-1800s
Trans-Saharan: 7 million africans trekked north to the Muslim world. 15 million total went there

A

people belong to a plot of land in oppose to a person.
western europe 400s-mid 1300s
eastern europe/russia, mid 1800s
in exchange for necessities.

Many regions, many time periods. EX: Inca Empires Mit’a system
extended period of time where you have to work for government, usually a form of tax

A

E: Spanish Colonies 1500s-1700s natives worked on land had to convert to Christianity. very abusive, many died from disease
H: 1700s-1900s in LAtin America land holding that depended on workers who were trapped by debt bondage. system helped cause mexican revolution iin 1910

A

British Empire: 1600s-1800s also other places at other times.
When a person works without pay for a certain amount of time before getting freedom. EX: empter thingy

rigidly structured system, forced to live and associate within caste. Higher caste: lighter skin, technically based off occupation.

association of artisans or merchants who oversee their trade in a territory. They could control training, production or sales.
