A

A fluid is any substance that flows, they come in a liquid or gas form.

Liquid Example: blood flowing through our vessels

Gas Example: oxygen flowing through our lungs

Identify three ways in which fluids are important to us. Provide an example of each.

  1. Fluids con transport solids. Ex. seede and fertilizer are often mixed with water then sprayed, alloring the seeds to be despersed over a large area and planted more efficently
    2, Fluids can hold or carry other materials that can serve a variety of functions.
    Example: the watery cytoplasm in a cell holds the organelles that allow the cell to live, grow, and replicate.
  2. Fluids Can become solids.
    Example: Cement is a mixture of materials, such as clay, that after poured, wil harden into a solid
