Those who own nothing but their labour (working class) which they have to sell to survive.

Yes.
What do the Bourgeoise control?
The wealth and capitalism.
Who do the bourgeoisie exploit?
The working class.
Who are the Proletariat controlled and influenced by?
The Bourgeoise
Why are the proletariat miserable?
Because they have no control.
Is Marxism a structural theory?
Yes.
What does Marxism believe?
That the individual is less important than the social structure of society. And that behaviour is shaped by society, not free will. (Capitalism)
What are individuals a product of?
Class relationships and inequality conflict theory.
What does capitalism create?
False needs.
What is the capitalism process?
- Bourgeoise owns means of production.
- Workers work there (only have their labour to sell)
- They make goods with their labour
- Owner pays worker but not full value of their product
- Profit goes to owner (surplus value)
- Therefore workers are exploited
