What is Meniere disease? MD
A
Its a pathology of the inner ear with classical tirade av hearing loss (unilateral), vertigo, and tinnitus.

What are the criteria for definitive diagnosis of MD?
A
- Two or more episode of vertigo lasting 20min to 12 hours
- Low to mid frequency sensorineural hearing loss prior, during or after vertigo episode
- Fluctuating aura symptom like tinnitus, ear fullness
- The condition can not be explained by other vertigo causes

What is probable MD?
A
- Two or more episode of vertigo lasting 20min to 24 hours
- Fluctuating aura symptom like fullness, tinnitus
- Can be explained by other causes of vertigo

Etiology of MD?
A
Mostly due to accumulation of endolymph in the cochlea or vestibular organ due to overproduction or bad absorption.

Who is more suspectable for MD?
A
Mostly in middle age adult around 40 and mostly i women

Other conditions that can happen more often in a patient with MD?
A
- Migraine
- Autoimmune disease like SLE, RA or ankylosing spondylitis. IgE a contributory factor in case of MD
