The land from the king .

Any tax,levy or fine

Peasants animal grazed together.
Bailiff
Made sure that the peasants paid rent

Where the Lord and his family lived.
Battlements
At the top of the keep we’re soldiers looked out for enemies
Curtain walls
The outer wall of the castle
Turrets
Strong towers along the walls
Drawbridge
Was raised a night or while enemy’s approached
Portcullis
Was an iron grille that could be lowered in front of castle gate
Motte
Small hill
Bailey
Big enclosure
Ramparts
Ran along the top of the castle.
Moat
Ditch around the castle
