The rate at which people adopt the culture of the country they have moved to
What is cultural fractionization
Measures how diverse countries are by measuring attitudes to law, religion etc..

Mexican influence on food + Spanish soap operas added to American netflix
Low skilled Mexican ec migrants fill agri jobs + are low paid
Youthful migrants help offset ageing population
Japan
Very homogenised culture that they aim to preserve as they believe migrants will disrupt their culture
Ageing population = need economic migrants
Ageing pop causes problems as less people are filling jobs and more government spending has to go on healthcare
