-Even broader than medical science.
-Covers public health, administration, education.

How medical science can be grouped (example)
- Basic discipline areas (anatomy, physiology, biochemistry).
- Organ systems and their linked specialties (cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology).
- Disease areas (oncology, immunology, rheumatology).
- Technological and methodological areas (bioinformatics, genetics, medical imaging, radiology).
Anatomy
The study of the structure and form of living organisms.
Physiology
The study of how living organisms function, independently and together.
Biochemistry
- Overlaps with anatomy and physiology.
- The molecular basis of the structures and processes that underpin anatomy, physiology and general life.
Microscopic (fine) Anatomy
Study of structures too small to see with naked eye.
Macroscopic (gross) Anatomy
Study of structures that can be seen with naked eye.
Anatomy State
Static - generally.
Physiology State
Dynamic.
