What are the 3 functions of pec. Major?
-adduction of the arm
-medial rotation of the arm
-flexion of the arm
Which ribs is pec. Minor attached to?
What is pec. Major innervated by?
The medial and lateral pectoral nerves
What is pec minor innervated by?
The medial pectoral nerve
What is the function of pec minor? (2)
Allows protraction of the upper limb
Depresses scapula and stabilises it
Where is subclavius found?
Inferior to the clavicle
What is subclavius innervated by?
The nerve to subclavius
What does subclavius do?
Help resist dislocation of the clavicle from the sterno-clavicular joint.
What does the Serratus anterior do to the scapula? (3)
-hold the scapula against the thoracic wall
-rotates the scapula
