A
Place boiling tube 10cm away from led light source
Fill boiling tube with/ sodium hydrogen carbonate solution
Put a piece of pondweed in the boiling tube with the cut end at the top
Leave to acclimatise for 5m
Place measuring cylinder filled with water + funnel above pondweed
Measure the volume of gas produced in 1m
Repeat 2 more times
Repeat experiment at 20cm, 30cm, etc.

What happens when we double the distance between the test tube and LED? What is the called? Why does this happen?
A
The number of bubbles per minute drops by a factor of 4. This is the inverse square law. Because the light intensity drops by a factor of 4, so does the oxygen produced.
