A man has to make his own way has to look after himself and his family too, of course
 Mr Burling statement reflects a capitalistic belief in self reliance and personal responsibility. A common stereotype that a man is the lead of the household he’s in charge and everyone should do what he says that only a man can make the decision. The phrase make his own way emphasise the idea that success deeply solely on individual effort ignoring the role of social conditions or collective support. Patriarchal attitudes are shown in the phrase and his family of course has a limited scope of responsibility on himself and not the family almost forgetting it’s on the side
Public men, Mr. Berlin have responsibilities as well as privileges.
The phrase… changes Mr Burns arrogance as well as a wealthy businessman and local politician reminds him that being socially high with the status comes of moral and social obligations not just benefits that has privilege upper-class self. His actions affect others that privilege must be balanced between duty towards society, particularly towards vulnerable and help those less fortunate.
