Initial cedar and tobacco. Very smooth and rich mouthfeel with charcoal and black cherry finish. Fresh and moorish. When on-form, 85 is one of my favourite LLC vintages (with 61, 66 and 82)
85 coolest temperature recording at the beginning of growing season, but latest harvest of decade. Merlot fully ripe. best for RB - but idk something magical happened in St Julien
