What is the definition of distress?
A condition of being threatened by serious and/or immediate danger and of requiring immediate assistance.
Urgency is a condition concerning safety of an aircraft, other vehicles or a person onboard or insight. Does urgency require immediate assistance?
No.
What is Directional finding?
A facility that allows a pilot to obtain direction (to or from, magnetic or true bearing) of the aircraft in relation to a VHF radio station.
What types of messages could be prioritised with Flight Safety?
Name four.
-Movement and control messages (flight plans)
-Messages from operating agencies or aircraft in flight with immediate concern to the flight
-Meteorological advise of immediate concern to an aircraft
-Other messages concerning aircraft in flight or about to depart
What message category does weather information only link to?
Meterological.
