What are some quantities you will measure?
Length, Time, Area, Volume, Mass.
What is the relationship between 10mm and cm?
10mm is the same as 1cm.
What is the relationship between 100cm and m?
100cm is the same as 1m.
What is the relationship between 1000m and km?
1000m is the same as 1km.
What is mass?
Mass is the amount of matter in an object.
What is volume?
The volume of an object is the amount of space an object takes up.
What is a meniscus?
The curved top surface of water in a container.
What does a ruler measure?
Measures length in mm, cm, inch.
What does a vernier caliper measure?
Measures diameter in cm, mm.
What does an opisometer measure?
Measures the length of curved lines in cm, mm.
What does an electronic balance measure?
Measures mass in g, mg, kg.
What does a trundle wheel measure?
Measures distance in meters.
What does a stopwatch measure?
Measures time in mins, sec.
What tools are used to measure distance?
Trundle Wheel, Meter Stick, Vernier Caliper (measuring diameters), Opisometer (measuring curved lines).
What is matter?
Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space.
