Q

sperry procedure

A

quasi-experiment using 11 patients all had corpus callostomy
projected info to each visual field
so controlling info that each hemisphere had access too
p had to say what they had saw, draw it or select from a number of objects hidden from view with their hands

Q

sperry findings

A

info presented to left hemisphere could be spoken but not if it was delivered to right

right hemisphere could draw or select object using left hand

this suggests both hemispheres were capable of independence and supports the theory of language centres being in the left side

Q

gazzanigas

A

split brain research using p also had corpus callostomy projected info
found that when each hemisphere of split brain were presented with faces to the right they were much more able to recognise them

right- facial recognition
