WELL is an International Building Standard that measures buildings features that promote wellbeing.
It investigates 7 key concepts:
1. Air
2. Water
3. Nourishment
4. Light
5. Fitness
6. Comfort
7. Mind
What was Previously Included with ECA’s?
Qualifying Plant or Machinery for:
- Energy or water efficient technologies.
- Tecnologies that were Environmentally Beneficial.
What is Currently Included for ECA’s?
- Equipment for Electric Vehicle Charging points
- Electric Cars and Cars with zero CO2 emissions
- Plant and Machinery for Gas Refueling Stations
What is Brise Soliel?
It is a type of solar shading that helps reduce heat gain from a building by deflecting sunlight.
How would you claim Thermal Insulation and where in the legislation?
Thermal Insulation to an existing building would be treated as Special Rate Pool Expenditure. As Per S.27.
Thermal Insulation to a New Building would be treated as Structures and Buildings Allowances
How can you increase the green credentials in a building with capital allowances?
Capital Allowances cannot increase a building’s green credentials.

- Rainwater harvesting
- EV chargers
- Solar shading
