Q

What are the three priorities of power? (Electrical)

A

First Priority – Main Generators. If there is at least one Main Generator operating, with one exception, the APU Generator or the External Power Receptacle will not be able to power the system.

  1. Second Priority – APU Generator. If the APU Generator is operating the External Power Receptacle will not be able to power the system.

Third Priority – External Power Receptacle. A ground power unit (GPU) attached to the External Power Receptacle will only be able to power the aircraft if there are no generators operational.

The generator fail cautions do not appear unless AC power is available. The lights are powered by the DC Primary busses. During run-up, both lights should go off above 97% Nr. iii. Appears whenever generator output is interrupted. iv. The other generator will then supply power to all busses. v. Disappears with a successful generator test.

Do nothing, especially do not turn off the battery switch Or you’ll lose power Turning No. 1 battery switch off will result in loss of No. 1 BATT Bus and No. 1 DC ESS bus.
30
AC REF BUS DEGRAD- advisory light
Appears when one of the two auto-transformers supplying bus power has failed. ADVISORY LIGHT, when transformer has failed
31
dual generator failure
will result in loss of all ac powered systems, Look for ac ref bus degrade In advisory 1. Airspeed — Adjust (80 KIAS or less). 2. GENERATORS NO. 1 and NO. 2 switches— RESET; then ON. If electrical power is not restored: 3. GENERATORS NO. 1 and NO. 2 switches— OFF. 4. MCUs and ECS-- OFF prior to EMER APU START. 5. EMER APU START. 6. LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE. 7. If APU GEN ON advisory extinguishes, ensure MCUs and ECS – OFF prior to resetting the APU generator.
32
GEN 1 FAIL or GEN 2 FAIL Caution Appears
1. Affected GENERATORS switch — RESET; then ON. If caution remains: 2. Affected GENERATORS switch — OFF.

75
To know
Lockout does not prevent Max Fuel Flow and NG limits. NP and NR are connected via a one way mechanical connection. Submerged pumps are not usually used IOT prevent pressurized fuel lines. T/R Quad Fail with no control signifies both cables have been severed. If HYD Pump 2 and Back up Pump fail, Pilot assist and #2 primary will be unpressurized. Pulling down on the PCL will disengage the started. If the start caution stays on, you’ll have to remove the air source.

78
Which fuel cell feeds the APU?

80
The main transmission is made up of ____ modules.

81
FUEL 1 BYPASS or FUEL 2 BYPASS Caution Appears
ENG FUEL SYS selector on affected engine — XFD. 2. LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE.
82
FUEL 1 BYPASS and FUEL 2 BYPASS Cautions Appear.
LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
83
FUEL 1 LOW and FUEL 2 LOW Cautions Appea
Land as soon as practicable
84
FUEL 1 PRESS LOW or FUEL 2 PRESS LOW Caution Appear
If the caution appears, flameout is possible. Do not make rapid collective movements. Critical situations are those where single engine flight is not possible, and the potential for fire resulting from a fuel leak is secondary to engine flameout. If the caution appears and the situation is critical: 1. ENG FUEL SYS selector on affected engine — XFD. 2. FUEL BOOST PUMP switch on side being used — ON. 3. LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. 4. EMER ENG SHUTDOWN after landing. b. Non-critical situations are those where single engine flight is possible. c. If the caution appears, and the situation is not critical: 1. ENG FUEL SYS selector on affected engine — XFD. 2. FUEL BOOST PUMP CONTROL switches — NO. 1 PUMP and NO. 2 PUMP — OFF (As applicable). 3. LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE.
85
FUEL 1 PRESS LOW and FUEL 2 PRESS LOW Cautions Appear
1. LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. | 2. EMER ENG SHUTDOWN after landing
86
Which gearboxes have fuzzburn?
All of them, main mod has 30 sec delay
87
Submerged boost pump
Normally the aircraft is flown with the pumps off so the fuel lines have a negative pressure going up to the engine driven boost pumps. This is beneficial because if a fuel line is severed then the engine would be sucking air instead of having a pressurized fuel leak which could possibly lead to a fire.
88
