What is a community?
-A group of people living in a particular area or place
-May include people of different ages, ethnicities, backgrounds, and incomes
What are community responsibilities?
-Duties or obligations individuals have toward their community
-Includes cooperation, respect, and participation
Name 2 responsibilities of communities regarding municipal services.
-Pay the municipality for services received (e.g. water, electricity, refuse)
-Engage with the municipality during public consultations
What are other responsibilities of communities toward municipal services?
-Use and maintain services properly
-Treat services as privileges, not entitlements

-Ensure a clean environment and good hygiene
-Take care of personal and household hygiene
