What is sales engineering?
Sales engineering is a job that combines selling and engineering. It involves understanding technical products and helping customers know how these products can help them.
Who is a sales engineer?
A sales engineer both a sales person that understands and can apply engineering and and engineer that understands how to sell engineering systems.
What do sales engineers do?
They sell technical products,
* explain how the products work,
* help customers with problems, and
* sometimes help in the creation or improvement products.
What are the duties of a sales engineer?
- Give presentations to explain products
- Talk with customers to understand their needs
- Change products to suit the customer
- Solve problems with installed equipment
- Recommend better machines or materials
- Help develop new products
- The alpacca is on stage giving a presentation
- The beaver is down in the crowd talking to customers to understand thier needs
- The crocodile has a both where he cusomizes the product to suit customer needs
- A customer brings a request that is too much for the crockodile so he send the customer to the booth neer him with the two Dragon to solve his problems
- The firs dragons solution is to fix the customers problems while the second recommends the customer better materials and products
- At the back of the hall the Elephant is behind developing new products
What are the qualities of a sales engineer?
Interpersonal skills: They must be good at working and talking with people, including clients and teammates.
Problem-solving skills: They need to listen to customer needs and suggest helpful solutions, sometimes by adjusting the product.
Self-confidence: They should be sure of themselves and convincing when presenting products to customers.
Technological skills: They must deeply understand the technical products they sell so they can explain them clearly and answer questions.
Out of the hall there is group of animals also working on the product:
- The fox is leader and is direction the team, with interpersonal skills
- The girrafe is the problem solving gury, ready to answer and product questions
- The hippo is the cool one, flowing with self confidence
- The Iguana is the tech bro he knows all about the product
