4
Q

how does the plant compensate for the shortage of water transpiration creates?

A

more water is drawn up from the rest of the plant via Xylem to replace it.

Q

Explain how transpiration is a side effect of photosynthesis?

A

they have to have a stomata in them so that gases can be exchanged easily

because there’s more water inside the plant than in the air outside the water escapes through the leaves via stomata.
