Functions of The urinary sytsem
Collects wastes produced by cells and removes them from the body
How does the Urinary system maintain Homeostasis
Maintains homeostasis by regulating body pH (how acidic), blood pressure, and eliminating waste like urea and salt
What does the urinary system include
Urinary system consists of kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra
What is the function of the kidneys
Kidneys: filter blood of waste using tiny filtering tubes called nephrons
Ureters Function
Ureters: tubes that carry urine from each kidney to the urinary bladder
Bladder function
Bladder: stores urine until it is released from the body
Urethra
Urethra: carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body
Summary of the Urinary system
The kidneys filter the blood, the leftover waste is urine, which is water, salts and urea, and travels down the tubes, ureters, to the bladder, which stores the urine. The urine leaves the body via the urethra when you are ready to urinate.
In what order does the Waste exit the body in the Urinary System
