What is the minimum level of PPE is to be worn when WAH
MMPU jacket and pants with safety boots with gloves and KASK helmet and harness to be worn IAW with AE301
What is HSS responsible for?
Heights Safety Supervisor is to:
(1) Review SRA and current AE301 - Working at Heights Risk Assessment (if applicable) for each WAH activity.
(2) Complete forms AE301 - WAH Risk Assessment (where a valid AE301 does not exist) and form AE302 - WAH Permit parts 1-4, and register within the WAHs Register
(3) Conduct an evolution brief ensuring that all personnel involved understand their roles and responsibilities, including a walkthrough of the rescue and casualty management plan.
(4) Conduct checks of WAH equipment with Height Safety Operators and Height Safety Rescuers (as applicable), PPE and personnel. Conduct final checks of all isolations and mitigations noted in AE302 Parts 2 and 3.
(5) Ensure applicable personnel sign into form AE036 - RADHAZ and WAH
Log before undertaking the WAH evolution. ICW OOD/OOW ensure all applicable RADHAZ keys are on the RADHAZ board AW Ref M.
Obtain Command authorisation IAW AE302 Part 5.
(6) Command authorisation IAW AE302 Part 5.
(7) Monitor personnel to ensure that all WAH equipment and PPE is worn and configured correctly.
(8)Remain near the vicinity of the evolution and monitor any changes to the working environment. The WAH evolution is to cease should any changes to the working environment render the AE301 or AE302 invalid
(9) On completion of WAH, all personnel and equipment is mustered lAW
AE302 Part 6a, AE302 Part 6b is to be completed and all forms are archived IAW Rel D and J
