Nabi
A prophet who conveys a divine message to a specific community.
Rasul
A prophet who conveys a divine message to all humans.
‘Ulu al’azm
Five important prophets to Islam: Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jebizz, Muhammad
Jesus and the Qur’an
Confirms all of his miraculous abilities. But denies the divine aspect of Jesus.
Sunnah
Muhammad’s actions, saying, approvals etc. that dictate much of Islam’s legal and ethical laws.

The way the Sunnah is told I guess.

Apostle Paul
A guy who was a Pharisee and hated Christians but then Jesus was like yooo and now he’s Christian.
The Didache
Discovered in 1873, created in Syria in first century. It was a normative by the twelve apostles.
Apostolic Tradition
Attributed to a bishop named Hippolytus. It basically said there was no consistent form of liturgy yet established.
Liturgy
How a religious group goes about worshipping.
Apostolic Constitution
Contains church orders on how to worship and be disciplined.
Gentile
Non-jew
What separated Judaism and Christianity
The belief that they should expand their teaching beyond the gentiles, and that they should be baptized.
Early Church and the Romans
Christians did not accept the divineness of Roman emperors or their paganism in general and so Christians were persecuted.
Constantine
Once he became the Roman emperor, he was a lot more relaxed toward Christians, and eventually became one himself.
Orthodoxy
The institutional form of the Christian church by the second century.
Historical Criticism
We must understand the bible within its context. That includes that society and period it was written.
